Kovu - Lorcana Fanart

I'd love to illustrate for Lorcana so I tried to create my own card. For that, I choose Kovu, when he was young, because I love this character and there is no card about him for the moment (or I haven't seen them haha) .
For this exercise I've created a little brief. First of all, I've examinated each ink particularities, and I've deducted that Emerald will suits perfectly for my idea. I wanted to illustrate Kovu, getting ready to jump on you. I think Emerald ink represents the best this cunning aspect. Then I've done some sketches to illustrate this idea and found that the second one was the best. At the beginning I didn't planned to add the green magic, but I thought it misses a little bit of spice, so I added it at the end to give this magical aspect that Lorcana cards have.
